Privacy Policy - What we do

JumpList is the launchpad for affiliate sales related to your latest video, article, recipe, tour, store, website, social post, and other content. We connect your subscribers to your affiliates through yourJumpList pages. . Our Website (located at jumplist.io) and other digital properties (such as our mobile app and Developer Portal) (together our “Platform”) provides information about us and allows individuals and businesses to sign-up as JumpList Users (to create a personalized, easily-customisable page), as Subscribers (to subscribe to and follow JumpList users), or as developers (to create functionality that interacts with our Platform) (together, the e"JumpList services").

How does this Privacy Notice affect me?

This Privacy Notice only concerns the personal information we collect as a controller from the following groups of people:

  • Visitors to our platform
  • Individuals or representatives of individuals who sign up for our JumpList Services, either through a paid or free plan
  • Individuals who sign up to follow or subscribe to User Profiles
  • Individuals who visit and interact with User Profiles
  • Developers who sign up for our Developer Portal to build JumpList functionality
  • Individuals who respond to our surveys, marketing materials, or participate in our promotions and competitions

This Privacy Notice explains how JumpList processes your personal information as a controller. This means that JumpList decides how to handle your personal information. However, JumpList can also act as a "processor" on behalf of our JumpList Users. In these cases, we'll help process the personal information of Profile Visitors and Subscribers based on instructions from the JumpList User.

If you provide us with information about another person, please make sure to give them a copy of this Privacy Notice and let them know how we use their personal information.

If you're a Profile Visitor or Subscriber, and you want to know how a JumpList User handles your personal information, you can get in touch with them directly or look at their privacy notice on their User Profile.

What personal information do we collect?

The personal information we may collect about you falls into these categories:

  • Information you give us voluntarily
    When you become a JumpList user, subscriber, interact with our services or staff, visit our platform, visit a user profile, sign up to our developer portal, respond to a survey or participate in a trade promotion, we may ask you to give us personal information voluntarily. For example, if you're a free plan user, we'll ask for your email address, name, username, hashed password, industry (the field your account is related to), and marketing preferences. If you're a paid plan user, we'll also ask for your full name, billing email address, billing address, and payment method to handle billing. If you're a subscriber, we'll ask for your email address or SMS number. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" or "opt-out" link in the marketing emails or SMS we send you or completing our Data Request Form. You can also provide personal information when you submit queries or make reports to us, like an Intellectual Property Report or Counter Notice. If you're a profile visitor, a user might ask you to provide your email address, mobile number, date of birth, or other information to access parts of a user profile. We may use this information to create aggregated statistics and improve our services. You can also give personal information by responding to our surveys, marketing materials, or participating in trade promotions and contests.
  • Information we collect automatically
    When you visit our platform, use our services, interact with a user profile, respond to a survey, or participate in a trade promotion, we automatically collect certain information from your device. This information may include your IP address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser type, general location, time zone, usage data, diagnostic data, and other technical information. We may also collect information on how your device interacted with our platform, services, or user profiles, like the pages accessed and links clicked. This information helps us understand you better and what content you're interested in. We use it for analytics purposes, to improve our platform and services, and to make recommendations for user profiles you might like.   • Information we get from third party sources
    From time to time, we may receive personal information about you from third parties like service providers and partners. We will only receive this information if they have your consent or are legally required or allowed to disclose your personal information to us.
  • Children's data
    Our services are not intended for children under the age of 18. If you're under 18, please don't use our services or give us personal information. If you're a parent or guardian and find out that someone under 18 has given us personal information, please contact us. We will take reasonable steps to erase or destroy any personal information we have collected or stored about that person.

  • To process payments for our JumpList paid plan users.

  • To provide you with the most relevant recommendations, including profiles that you may be interested in.

Legal basis for processing personal information

At JumpList, the reason for collecting and using your personal information will depend on the specific details and circumstances. But don't worry, we'll only collect information from you with your consent, when it's necessary for a contract with you, or when it aligns with our legitimate business interests.

In some cases, there may be legal requirements for us to collect certain information from you, and if that's the case, we'll make sure to let you know and explain why it's necessary. And don't worry, you won't be forced to provide anything that's not required by law.

We want to provide the best experience for our JumpList Users, so collecting information helps us develop and improve our services. Our main focus is always to provide extra functionality, maintain a secure platform, and moderate content for everyone's safety.

Who may we share your information with?

We may share your personal information with the following groups:

  • Our affiliated companies, third-party service providers who assist with the delivery, functionality, or security of the platform or JumpList Services, or who process personal information for purposes explained in this Privacy Notice or informed to you when collecting your information. We also work with third-party payment processors, which will be described in more detail below.
  • If we introduce social media log-ins in the future, we may provide personal data to the relevant social media provider to facilitate the log-in.
  • Competent law enforcement bodies, regulatory agencies, courts, or other third parties when we believe disclosure is required by law, to defend our legal rights, or to protect your vital interests or those of others.
  • Potential or actual buyers (and their agents and advisers) during a proposed or actual purchase, merger, or acquisition of a part of our business. The buyer will be informed that they must use your personal information only as disclosed in this Privacy Notice.
  • Any other person with your consent for the disclosure.

To provide paid products and services within the JumpList Services, we use third-party payment processors. Your payment card details will not be stored or collected by us. Instead, that information is directly provided to our third-party payment processors, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policies and their own terms and conditions. These payment processors meet the standards set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), managed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, including brands such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Specifically, JumpList may transfer personal information to the United States and other countries where we conduct business. JumpList may also share your personal information with third-party service providers located outside of our headquarters in Australia.

The countries where these organizations are located may vary, but in general, we may disclose personal information to organizations located in Australia or the United States. We make these transfers to provide the JumpList services and carry out activities described in this Privacy Notice.

We also have similar safeguards in place with our third-party service providers and partners and additional details can be provided upon request. Please note that withdrawing your consent will not affect the legality of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal or processing based on lawful grounds other than consent.

  • Sensory information such as recordings of customer service calls; and
  • Inferences derived from personal information such as purchase preferences, interests and characteristics.There may be additional information that we collect that meets the definition of personal information under California law but is not reflected in a category, in which case we will treat it as personal information as required under California law, but will not include it when we are required to describe our practices by category of personal information.

  • Directly from you. For example, when you create an account, make a purchase, browse our Platform, or use the JumpList Services.
  • Directly and indirectly from activity on the Platform and/or using the JumpList Services.
  • Social networks (to the extent we introduce social media log-ins in the future).
  • Service Providers who provide services on our behalf such as those used to fulfill orders, process your payments and requests, verify your information, monitor activity on the Platform and/or using the JumpList Services, provide analysis and analytics, maintain databases, administer and monitor emails and marketing, administer and send mobile messages, serve ads on this and other services, and provide consulting services.

We may disclose the following categories of personal information to service providers for a business purpose, or, at your direction, with third parties such as sponsors of promotions, sweepstakes, or contests. We have disclosed the following:

  • the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information;

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information collected or maintained by us, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law

(c) Right to Opt-Out of Sale of Personal Information

As mentioned above, we do not sell personal information and we do not believe that our sharing of information would qualify as a sale under California law. Nonetheless, if you are a California resident who has purchased products or services from us, you may submit a request to record your preference to opt out by emailing us at support@jumplist.io.

(d) Right to Non-Discrimination

You have the right to not be treated in a discriminatory manner for exercising your privacy rights. We do not use the fact that you have exercised or requested to exercise any privacy rights for any purpose other than facilitating a response to your request.

4. Exercising Your California Privacy Rights

  • If you want to request any information about how we process, store or use your data or anything relating to personal information and privacy laws, please use our Data Request Form.

Once we receive your request, we are required to verify that you are the person that is the subject of the request. This verification process consists of matching identifying information provided by you with the information we have about you in our records. Upon making a request, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, and request details. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide to begin the process to verify your identity. If we cannot verify your identity, we will not be able to respond to your request.

You may designate an authorized agent to exercise any of the above privacy rights on your behalf, subject to the agent request requirements under California law.

Please note, for your safety and security, we will require authorized agents to provide proof of consent and designation of the authorized agent for the purpose of making the request, and will require authorized agents to provide information necessary to verify the identity of the individual who is the subject of the request. We may also require that an individual verify his/her own identity directly with us before we respond to an authorized agent's request.

We reserve the right to deny requests in certain circumstances, such as where we have a reasonable belief that the request is fraudulent.

5. Do Not Track

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Because there currently isn't an industry standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

6. California's Shine the Light law

We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes absent your consent as defined by California Civil Code Section 1798.83 ("Shine the Light law"). To opt-out of future sharing with third parties for their direct marking purposes, contact us at support@jumplist.io.. Any such request must include "California Privacy Rights Request" in the first line of the description and include your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year.

7. Changes

We reserve the right to change this Supplemental Information for California Residents from time to time. Changes shall become effective on the date they are posted.
